Barry Douglas has been given more backing to ditch Leeds United for Rangers this summer, with Kevin Phillips insisting that breaking into Marcelo Bielsa’s side will only get tougher if the Whites win promotion.



Leeds has been Douglas’ home since the summer of 2018, but injuries and a dip in form have hampered him somewhat.

This season, he’s managed only 13 appearances across all competitions for the table-topping Whites, despite starting the season as Bielsa’s first choice at left-back.

Recently, Douglas revealed he supported Gers growing up, which has led to a see of pundits pushing for him to make the move to Ibrox when the transfer window comes around.

The latest to do so is Kevin Phillips, who told Football Insider: “Marcelo Bielsa has been consistent with his team selection and it will only get tougher if they go up.
